DVD Review and Giveaway: Tangled

So life has been a whirlwind lately with the new baby.

Even with the husband off work, things are going non stop as we juggle feeding, sterilising, settling, washing, playing and nappy changing for the 2 girls.

I love it and wouldn't have it any other way, but boy is it full on!

I got a bit of a break last Saturday when the Husband took Sophie out to swimming and I got to stay home with baby Georgie. She was having a really cuddly morning so I had no choice but to sit on the lounge for a couple of hours with her and watch a movie ;)

I'd been sent Disney's Tangled to review so this was the perfect opportunity to relax and watch it.

I love Disney animated films because although they are targeted at children there is so much for an adult to enjoy!

I got caught up quickly in the Tangled storyline - Rapunzel with a twist - and the time just flew by.

It manages to be a bit of everything - sweet, funny, exciting, sad, and more.

My 2 favourite parts?

1. The 'bar scene' - I can't give anything away but let's just say there is some singing (well, it is Disney!) and great humor. Those lovable thugs ;)

2. The 'lantern scene' - it was beautiful. I cried a bit (stop judging - it was lovely).

I should also point out that after watching this I now have to new goals in life:

1. To be a princess (obviously)

2. To grow my hair really, really long so I can swish it around princess-like whenever I want. In fact, I have bought hair extensions - but thats another blog post ;)

Tangled is out now at all good DVD retailers for RRP DVD $24.95, Blu-Ray Value Pack $39.95, and 3D Blu-Ray Pack $54.95. Give it a go, you'll love it.

Meet the new baby: Georgia Clare Roberts

Here she is!

I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone - family, friends, all you guys out here in blog/facebook/twitter land for your happy comments and well wishes on the new baby. There were so many I couldn't reply to them all personally, and it was so thoughtful of all of you xoxo

Our beautiful Georgia Clare was born June 3 and is just adorable.

I know I'm biased, being her mum, so I have added a few pics to prove the adorable-ness ;)

The photo above is Georgie curled up with her Dad wearing the cute little hat that Beanie Designs sent us to review. How cute is she with a bow! I have some more info on the hat at the end of this post if you are looking for one for your bub or for a gift.

If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen these next pics before, but hey, they're so pretty I know you won't mind me putting them here too:

This photo was taken a few minutes after she was born

This one was taken very late at night when she's at her most snuggly

And here's the photo Sophie took of her foot while visiting us in hospital. I didn't realise she had my iPhone until I found this photo a few days later! These are her new shoes - I guess she wanted to capture the moment ;)

Anyway, we are all getting settled at home now, just enjoying some time together as a little family while the Husband has some time off work. Time is flying by in a beautiful haze of feeding, changing and settling Georgia, and giving Soph some time with Mum & Dad so she still knows she's special too.

I love it - it's soft and stretchy so Georgie is comfortable wearing it. The pink bow can be taken off easily and I just wash the hat in the machine with the rest of the baby clothes. You can get heaps of different sizes too.

Our Bathroom Reno's

We have a new bathroom!

I love our house, it's cute and cosy and perfect for us. All we really needed to do to fix it up when we moved in was add floorboards and give it a new coat paint. Except the bathroom.

Ok, to be honest, our bathroom was totally useable. It's just that the shower leaked, so the floor was always wet. And the tiles were that 80's pink colour you see on episodes of The Golden Girls. And the bath wasn't very deep. So while it did its job, there was no "Aah.." feeling when you went to have a long shower or bath - you know, that feeling you get when you have a shower or bath in a nice hotel...

That was my dream, to have a hotel style bathroom in our cosy house, including a bath where the water goes up higher than my knees, and a big shower that doesn't leak.

And now, we have one!

Husband did most of the work himself, with a little bit if help from family, and I am very impressed with the result. I think he's relieved about that because I complained nonstop for the whole 8 days of renovating!

Come on, I was heavily pregnant with no bathroom and an almost 2 year old toddler, so each day I packed us up in the morning and we went to a friend or family member's house to spend the day, shower, and return home at Sophie's bedtime. When you are 8 months pregnant, that's a big week.

I'm so proud of the Husband I thought I would show off some if his renovating pics:

No before picture I'm afraid, they were too keen to get started ripping the walls out!

But here's one of the old bathroom minus the walls:

And a couple of the gorgeous hotel style bathroom we have now!

Look at the size of the shower!

Huge! I love it.

Not too keen on cleaning it though, it would take forever! So I was very happy to get some Viva Shower wipes to trial.

They work quickly and easily and I can clean even with Soph following me as I don't need to worry about accidentally spraying her with cleaner from a bottle ;)

The bathroom is literally done in a couple of minutes, just like on the TV ad.

So I'm not going back to cleaning the old way. These are staying in my new gorgeous bathroom.

Look, they even have their own 'spot' I keep them in:

How do you clean your bathroom?
