DVD Review and Giveaway: The Little Engine That Could

Did the phrase "I think I can, I think I can..." come to mind when you saw the title of this review?

I remember this story from when I was a kid and this movie is a very cute version of it :)

The Little Engine That Could is a lovely family movie (it's rated G) and is perfect for school holidays. It's handy to have something that will keep the kids entertained for 82 minutes and the moral of the story - anything is possible - is really empowering.

My daughter loved the bright colours, the beautiful songs and the little engine itself - she's a big fan of trains! It did take a couple of screenings for her to watch most of it, but I'm putting that down to her current Wiggles obsession. If they had shown up in the movie somewhere, I have no doubt we'd be forced to run the DVD on repeat non-stop at our house ;)

For me, this was a very cute story and not hard to watch, plus I liked trying to figure out which celebrities were playing the characters (Whoopi Goldberg and Jamie Lee Curtis)

If you'd like a copy of The Little Engine That Could it's available now at all good DVD retailers and I also have a copy to giveaway!
