DVD Review & Giveaway: I Don't Know How She Does It

This is a movie I think a LOT of Mums will relate to.

Actually, I think this is a movie a lot of people in general will relate to, as we are all really busy these days and have a lot to juggle in our lives.

But something really spoke to me watching this one.

Maybe it was because I have been in similar, crazy-busy situations. Trying to juggle family, housework, other work, social stuff, and fit some sleep in somewhere (although all of that was my inspiration for getting organised, so that's a plus)!

So, Mums - and other busy people, this is a DVD you should try. It's on my 'watch it when I can't sleep' list AND my 'watch it when I need to relax and feel appreciated' list. It even made me a big Sarah Jessica Parker fan :)

Here's a clip for you!

If you like the look of I Don't Know How She Does it, you can buy a copy here.

I also have 1 copy to giveaway! To enter, just comment below and tell me how you handle being busy :)

You have until midnight (Sydney time), Saturday, May 26 to enter, and I'll announce the winner on the blog shortly after. Good Luck!

Don't forget the fine print:

  1. I handle being busy but not being busy. There might be a lot going on around me, but to just step back, breathe and realise the only one making me run around like a headless chook is me - then I calm down and take things one step at a time.

  2. Well, I'm typing this at 5 in the morning
I should be asleep but I'm awake (and yawning!)
I do my things before the kids rise
Shower, brekkie, today, try to win this prize!
I find that if I'm up before they are
Things run smoother, the day's not so bizarre
I really do savour this bit of 'me' time
To pay bills, check emails, rid the house of grime.
So that's how I try to handle being busy
But as a mum of three, my days do leave me dizzy!!! :)

Email is kookla123@yahoo.com Thankyou for the opportunity; it sounds like a movie I would love!!!!!

  3. Hi Marissa!
I handle being busy in two ways: one, I keep a to-do list in my phone that I can check off as I go, and two, I prioritise. Get the most important things out of the way first, and hopefully anything I don't get to do is not worth worrying about. There is a third way I handle being busy, but it's not the most productive - stress, cry and yell at the husband (as its always his fault!)!! Relieves the stress!

  5. Hi Marissa

I can not believe the chaos that was created once children entered my life.
Never ever expecting what I had with my first child for the initial 3 years of their (and my) life.
I purchased book after book (after book… after book) to help me wrangle parenthood and being a mother of a challenging baby and toddler.
My fathers advice was the best (go figure).
He told me to through away all the books as I was "writing" my own book now with this baby.
And so he was so correct.
It was the best thing I did (along side with throwing all of my preconceived ideas out the window too and going with the flow)
Once I went with the flow - "life fell into place".

    have a lovely day

  6. I handle being busy by falling apart at least once a day. I call this my morning tea break - or psychotic break on some days. If I did not laugh I'd be in real trouble, though it does come close to hysteria at times.

Being organised with lists & good intentions only gets me so far.

  8. I write out a list the night before of all the jobs that I need to do. I mark off what I can delegate to others in the house and give them the orders!
I also make sure I take a little time through the day to stop, breathe and refresh myself so that I don't end up in a panic.

  10. Often I run around like a headless chook, but when I have prior warning I like to list things too. This helps me see where I'm up to and in order to handle all this busy-ness, I set definite tea and sun breaks throughout the day.... they come around surprisingly quickly with all that other busy stuff going on, they're like an oasis of yay in my day ;)

  11. Hi Marissa,

I use a To Do List app on my Iphone - when I complete the task, I can "tick" it off (virtually). The app also has alarms and reminders. Failing that, I write my list on a piece of paper and put my car keys on top of it. Then there's no way I forget anything.

  12. I'm a mum, and a wife, and a woman with a life.
I work part-time, and cook, and play
and more often than not, I feel like hiding away!
I have no tips for keeping things in order,
although lists can help, sometimes I think - why bother.
Just live in the moment, although it gets messy,
life is supposed to be fun and a little bit crazy!
